I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Most of you who know me already know that I am LDS (at least I think so). I just want to support Elder Ballard's statement: "The emergence of New Media is facilitating a world-wide conversation on almost every subject including religion...may I ask that you join the conversation by participating on the Internet, particularly the New Media, to share the gospel and to explain in simple and clear terms the message of the Restoration."

"Most of you already know that if you have access to the Internet you can start a blog in minutes and begin sharing what you know to be true."
M. Elder M. Russell Ballard, "Using New Media to Support the Work of the Church." Speech was given at Brigham Young University-Hawaii’s graduation ceremony on December 15, 2007.

I do not know if I know how to bear my testimony in a blog... but then again, a few months ago, I never saw myself as a blogger. So, here are my reasons that I am grateful to be a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints....
1.Families Can Be Together Forever
We believe that Families can truly be together forever by being sealed in the Temple. How grateful I am to know that. This makes how we view our families, especially our spouses so different from the rest of the world.
2. I believe in the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That is that not only was Christ crucified, but that in the Garden of Gethsemene he suffered the pains and the sins of the world. I am grateful, because it takes away the bitterness and the pain that comes in life.
3. The Plan of Salvation. I know that I am a Daughter of God. How powerful that is in making choices in how I will act. The plan of salvation is basically who we are and that we are sons and daughters of a Heavenly Father, who is the Creator of Heaven and Earth. We lived with Him before we came to Earth. We came to Earth to learn to be like Him and we can return to Live with Him.
4. Prayer: I know that anytime, anywhere I can pray to my Heavenly Father, and he hears me. He has heard me.
5. Revelation: not only can I pray to my Heavenly Father, but he speaks to me. Not in an audible voice, but through the Holy Spirit. He also guides his Church through Revelation.
So, this is my short version......I am so grateful to have the Gospel in my life. Would you like to know more? Go to www.LDS.org.
